I am currently developing a new body of work that responds to the experience of retrieving childhood memories upon my return to the Don River area in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, after an interval of three decades. Experimenting with paper, clay, sand, graphite, map tracing and satellite imagery, this project unfolds from the phenomenological exploration of remembering with the land, and practicing embodied research in the territory, in search for different modes of representation of my own memory’s cartography.
